<p>Ummmm so I had them repair my PS3 for the YLOD. At first everything seemed great, the only problem is that when they repaired my ps3, they turned on the fan setting all the way to the maximum level. It literally sounds like a hair dryer in your room. So if it repaired, why do you need the fan to be on the highest level. It's because it is not really repaired in my opinion. After a week of having it on high, i decided to take it back and have them change the fan back to the original settings. They warned me that it may go back to YLOD. I said screw that. If my ps3 can work for 8 years on normal fan settings, then it should be fine. Behold, after 2 weeks, my ps3 reverted back to YLOD. I looked under the hood and noticed that I had missing screws and looked like they changed some of my parts out. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!! DON"T USE, waste of money, just buy a new ps3 by that point. Waste of $125.</p>

Hey Danny, we're really sorry to hear your dissatisfaction with our service. We wish you had contacted us first before voiding your warranty. The fan upgrade is suppose to help prolong the life span of your system. This was noted in our FAQ: xcubicle.com/content/ter… Considering that your system may be eight years old, there is already wear and tear and the average life span of a PS3 is about 3 - 4 years, depending on model. Sony manufactures these consoles so that they only have a life span of a couple of years. Please rest assured that all your parts in your console is original and we would not change out any of your parts unless if they were malfunctioning. In which case, we would have called you about it before replacing anything. We'd love to work something out with you. Please give us a call at 917-338-0645 or email us at info@xcubicle.com. Your feedback is helpful so that we can make continuous improvements with our company. Thank you again for your time, the xcubicle team

<p>These guys are amazing! my ps3 recently died and i had alot of family photos in my system and I wanted some place reliable. i researched around and was thinking about sending it to places out of the state, but read alot of bad horror stories during shipping so decided to do it locally so at least i can talk to the guy that's going to fix my stuff. at first i brought it to my local game shop in brooklyn but they weren't able to fix it and actually recommend me to these guys afterwards. well i brought it in and the guy (vincent) was very informative about how they were going to fix it and explained me the process of reflowing my board to revive it. their prices are much more than other places, but that's due to their experience level from what i noticed and you really get what you pay for. I'm so glad they we're able to get machine up and running again. they were even nice enough to backup my pictures for me. they need a bigger store! amazing how much they get done in there tho.</p>

Denis - I attempted to use the XBox with a HiDef TV. Within minutes the picture started to go bad - pixelated. Switched it back to reg def, and at first the problem would only recur occasionally. It got more frequent, and finally died. I tried restarting a few times afterwards, but had to force quit each time, and eventually got the RROD. I'm in Chapel Hill, NC.
